when the library discontinued overdrive i was at a loss, i thought there was no solution. i couldn’t figure our how to use libby with my ancient mp3 player- so I called the library and asked for help. they helped!, guiding me to this excellent mp3/4 player- a bit pricey, but well worth it. now I can listen to books with ease. two thumbs up.

Fine audio and video player for the price
This player almost has the functionality of a cellphone, except, of course, a cellular modem and camera. It comes with the Android OS and loaded with media software, FM radio and utilities. In my case, I listen to Pandora in offline mode while I run. The player has a micro SD slot you can use for importing music or saving media. Sound quality from the speaker is adequate and earbuds are provided for stereo listening. The earbud leads are the FM radio antenna. You can pair Bluetooth earbuds for wireless listening (other than FM). Battery life is OK, but seems a bit short to me unless I turn screen brightness down and shut off WiFi. The main downsides I see are that the unit is quite heavy and that I imagine dropping it might cause substantial damage. Probably worth it to find a gel case that fits. For those reasons I deducted 1 star.

Great music player, too many random apps
I liked this music player a lot, but let me talk about the part I did not like. It came loaded with a lot of apps, most of which I would not use. Some, such as Pandora, Amazon music, and Spotify, are pretty common, but there were a number of other apps that just seemed to be there to fill up the screen. I’m not saying that to dissuade anyone from buying this, it’s just that it would have been better for the player to have easy access to an app store where you could choose to download the apps you wanted. Most of the apps that were included require a subscription. I removed all the apps except for a couple that I’m already subscribed to.The music player has a lot of storage when you insert the 128GB SD-card that was included. When inserted, the player auto-prompted me to format it, which was done easily. I loaded a variety of music types onto the player by connecting it directly to my PC with the included USB cable. I could easily drag and drop files to the player, although it took a little fiddling around to allow me to see the 128GB card as the visible partition. Once files were transferred (relatively quickly), I could tell the device to scan for music files and my music was available. Uploading via Wi-Fi was available, and worked, but was clunkier than directly attaching vi USB because while you could drag and drop onto the upload page, it doesn’t automatically create folders.Another nice feature of this player is that it includes an FM radio player. That’s useful if you need access to FM radio during a power outage to see what’s going on.The phone also includes the Amazon Kindle app, which I’ve used for reading. The screen is small, but sharp enough for the app to be useful.All-in-all, I like this player a lot, even though the included apps could be trimmed down a bit. It’s essentially a phone without the cellular function. It will hold a ton of music, and is pretty easy to use.

Not for tech illiterates
I bought this to play Libby audiobooks. It worked great for 6 weeks (after the return period closed) and then it stopped supporting the audiobooks out of wifi range. Not much fun walking up and down my driveway for my regular walks.I contacted the manufacturer who sent me complicated instructions to update the firmware using some driver that I would have to buy. I believe the saying is don’t throw good money after bad. So I am looking for a different device.

I bought this for my mother so she could listen to her Sirus XM account. It did not have the SiriusXM app, and I went to download the app and it says I have to pay for Google play, etc. apparently itâs not compatible. I was very disappointed- I donât recommend this and itâs not easy to navigate.

No play store for apps
The quality is very good but it has its faults. It is running Android 8 which is a bit old. Itâs running Bluetooth 4 also a bit old. It doesnât have a version of PlayStore to download or update apps. It wouldnât even let me side load applications. This has all the makings of a great digital music player but itâs let down by a few too many issues. Adding the play store, updating it to a current release of android, a current version of Bluetooth and you would have a music player to match the quality of this player.

I like this mp3 player. It has large capacity and live streaming. I ordered it for my 11 years old child who is found of reading books. It is very easy to use and specially kindle and audible. He can listen his books on the go. It has excel and blue tooth connection, great voice quality and long battery life. I like this MP3 player. It is value for money. I will definitely recommend it.

To put it simply, this device is good. For people looking to get away from distractions and from the hustle and bustle of the real world (via. your phone), then this is ideal. For media, this has most of the apps that you could want (except YouTube for some reason) like Spotify, Amazon Music, Pandora radio etc. The device is fairly compact so it’s only about 4 inch screen size and the battery life is fairly good. For the price (of approx. £70 at the time of writing), this is a great little device (with the accessories like cables and earphones) which warrants 4 stars however, that is with the caveats I’ll discuss below.Some limitations are the fact that even though it’s an Android device, it doesn’t support the Google Play Store which means that apps like YouTube is not possible to be installed. The “160 gb” storage is something I’m not sure about as the device itself is 32gb, and the supplied SD card is 128gb – this may put some people off but at least you can expand the storage on this device. The speakers are okay but not mind-blowing, certainly not for a dedicated device. The screen, if you’re using this as a replacement for a kindle or an e-reader, might be an issue. Even though it’s an Android device, I’m not sure about if it’ll get some security updates – only time will tell.Whilst the above is negative, on the whole, it’s not a bad device. If you just want an MP3 player that’s simple and easy to use, this is good for you – as long as you’re aware of the caveats.

The compact mp3 player comes with supplied headphones, a charging cable, and 128 GB SD card…The main intended use for the mp3 player is to import your music stored on another device, and there are plenty of options the easiest being to transfer the music using a USB-C connection on the mp3 to a USB-A or C connection on the device the music is stored…I have long done away with my own mp3-Flac recordings for music streaming… and despite the device not having Android support so no PlayStore, It comes with the major music apps already installed, Amazon, Apple, Tidal, Spotify, Deezer, and one for our American cousins Pandora.You can also upload other music sources using the Chrome browser.As well as music, you can upload your photos, there is also an FM radio, E-book, Kindle etc.All in a lightweight super portable player with a crisp 4-inch display.Build Quality 5/5VFM 5/5SQ 4/5
